About this project.
Four Bibb County courthouses were built between 1825 and 1924. The first was a one-room building completed in 1825, followed by a brick building in 1828. A three-story courthouse with a clock tower was completed in 1870, and the current building was completed in 1924.
The current courthouse stands at 601 Mulberry Street in downtown Macon, Georgia. Photographs include the building, its bell, historical marker, and an archival view of the earlier courthouse.
