Project milestone: July 30, 2026 · Macon, Georgia
Warren Associates is part of the team renovating and expanding the Macon-Bibb Law Enforcement Center. Designed by Jericho Design Group, the addition is part of the county’s effort to improve an existing public facility and support the people who use and operate it.
Macon-Bibb County and the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office marked the next phase with a groundbreaking on July 30, 2026. The county identified Warren as the constructor and described planned improvements to the existing facility, additional housing and space intended to address mental-health needs.

Preparing the site for its next chapter
The work has a visible chronology. On April 16, 2026, Warren’s crews began demolition of the former James F. Higgins Memorial Building. The county described that activity as the first phase of the wider jail improvement program, with the site to become a new parking lot.
By the July announcement, the county reported that the new public lot was open. That completed enabling step provided context for the ceremony and the next portion of the construction program.
Why the sequence matters
A phased public project involves more than the eventual addition. It also involves the relationship between existing buildings, supporting site work and the spaces that will change over time. An early activity may be significant because of what it makes possible for the next stage.
For an owner, a useful progress discussion therefore asks two questions: what has changed, and how does that change relate to the overall plan? Milestone records help connect a broad project goal with the work people can see on the ground.
Documenting a continuing investment
Our project photography provides another way to follow the site over time. Dated views give readers a consistent reference for the building and its surroundings as the program develops.
Warren’s construction services bring owners, designers and subcontractors together around the work to be delivered. Planning, coordination and construction each have a role in carrying a project from its early requirements into the field.
