Warren Associates, Inc. will be doing the Renovations to Lake Tobesofkee Campgrounds, at Claystone Park and Arrowhead Park starting in early November of 2024.
Claystone’s campground closed on November 4th, and Arrowhead’s campground will close on December 4th. The rest of the park areas will remain open.

A good campsite depends on practical details: a place to set up, access to utilities and a connection to the surrounding recreation area. The Lake Tobesofkee program announced in November 2024 addressed those everyday needs at Claystone and Arrowhead.
Macon-Bibb County identified Warren Associates and Dunwody/Beeland, Architects, Inc. as the project team. Its November 15 announcement described a $600,000 SPLOST-funded program serving the two campgrounds.
What the original plans included
The county’s announced scope called for replacing asphalt campsite pads with concrete, adding landscape timbers and gravel, and updating electrical boxes and both below-ground and above-ground water connections. It also included nine docks across the two campgrounds.
